The Movement for One Ghana has taken notice of a very disturbing video making runs on social and electronic media and finds it very distasteful so to speak.

In the said video, the national Communication officer of the opposition NDC, Mr Sammy Gyamfi is seen threatening the lives of security personnel should the NDC win the next general elections.

As to what may have prompted the NDC spokesperson to make such a weird and outlandish exposition unbefitting of a party communicator is what leaves M-FOG bemused.

The Movement finds his utterances, offensive, irresponsible, reprehensible and gluttonous and hereby calls on the rank and file of the party to rebuke Sammy Gyamfi for reducing the communication standards to its lowest form.

These beseck utterances coming from the opposition NDC smacks of the intention of the NDC against our security agencies and same seem to have the tacit blessings of their flagbearer Mr John Dramani Mahama.

It will be recalled that just about a few weeks ago, another NDC member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram, Mr Sam Gyata George was also seen in a video threatening military men in uniform and using almost the exact unfortunate words Mr Sammy Gyamfi used in his latest childish outburst.

The movement therefore finds it curious that Mr Mahama who was once our president and the commander in chief of the Ghana Armed Forces has kept mute over these worrying utterances. Is it the case that he is in support of what Sammy Gyamfi said? If not, then the movement would plead with him to come out publicly and condemn the said statement.

The Movement for One Ghana(M_FOG) would like to assure all our security agencies that irrespective of the “madness” laced with threats and provocations being exhibited by Mr Sammy Gyamfi and all who think alike, majority of Ghanaians still have absolute confidence in them and will always rally behind them in executing their constitutional mandates as law enforcement agencies.

Thank you.

Mr Prince Agyemang
